this blog is written by a group of people who (mostly) know each other from graduate school. we watched and talked about a lot of movies then, and now that we’re pretty much scattered around the time-zones this is our way of continuing those conversations. we don’t imagine an audience outside ourselves and so stay away from all the pingback/trackback/blogroll paraphernalia of the blogosphere. this is not to say that we aren’t interested in comments from people who might happen upon this site–we do. and if we like enough of your comments we may even invite you to become a regular poster to the blog (odds of this happening are much higher, however, if you actually know one of us).
