For Your Consideration the latest film from the comic collective that brought you Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind. Their innocuous skewering of the Hollywood award season in no way matches up with the sheer absurdity of the thing Christopher Guest and company are attempting to lampoon. It’s a mess, but mostly is isn’t funny and that’s too bad.
i watched this tonight on ondemand, and actually liked it. the comedy is considerably lower wattage than the last few from the company, but a pretty decent hit rate with the jokes. ricky gervais was great, as was parker posey, and catherine o’hara is god.
